Scenic transfer! Your incredible adventure begins the moment you arrive at Kigoma Airport! Get ready for a truly unforgettable experience as you embark on a scenic boat ride across the vast and stunning Lake Tanganyika to your Hotel. As you approach Gombe Stream National Park, you'll be treated to breathtaking panoramas of the magnificent Mahale Mountains.

Depending on your arrival time, you may be taken directly for an incredible experience trekking with chimps, snorkelling in the beautiful Lake Tanganyika, and enjoying the sunset. You'll then get to spend the night at the amazing Kasekela tented camp!

Get ready for a day of adventure! You'll be welcomed with a hearty breakfast to fuel you for an amazing day of chimps trekking and hiking through the forest. Keep your eyes peeled for baboons, red colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, and other incredible creatures. Plus, you'll have the chance to spot some amazing birds! After a day of exploring, you'll have a delicious lunch to energize you for more adventures. Then, it's back to Kasekela Tented Camp for an overnight stay.

Optional activities for you to choose! After breakfast at 7:30am, we're off on an amazing hike to Jane's Peak! There are so many amazing options for you to choose from! Jane Goodall Institute Visit: Get up close and personal with chimpanzees and learn all about their behaviour and conservation efforts with a visit to the Jane Goodall Institute, located near the park. Boat Excursion on Lake Tanganyika: Take a refreshing boat excursion on Lake Tanganyika. You can even take a dip in the crystal-clear waters or explore the vibrant underwater creatures world through snorkelling! And if you're a seafood eater, you'll get to enjoy a very nutritive lunch including fish.

After breakfast at 7:30am, get ready for another incredible experience! Our guide will transfer you from Kasekela Camp to Kigoma via the Tanganyika Lake by boat. The Kigoma region in western Tanzania is a historical treasure trove just waiting to be explored! While in Kigoma town, you'll have the chance to experience a variety of unique attractions, including a visit to the Dr. David Livingstone Museum and Memorial. This fascinating museum is a tribute to the self-sacrificing missionary who journeyed to Ujiji and Kigoma, dedicated to reaching new people in Africa and introducing them to Christianity. He also played a pivotal role in freeing them from slavery. He was on a mission to free the black people from oppression! This is an incredible place where you can learn about the history of the slave trade and the journeys and missionary activities of Dr. David Livingstone. It is also home to a wealth of historical evidence, including German buildings built during the colonial era, the central ivory and slave trade route starting from Kigoma to Bagamoyo, German wells and Arab mosque – just to name a few!
And there's more! You'll also get to see the MV Liemba, the oldest "operating" passenger ship in the world. It's been sailing between Kigoma, Tanzania and Mpulungu, Zambia since 1915.
After all this, you'll be taken to an authentic village for a captivating cultural experience including a cooking class.

With a heart full of memories but heavy at the thought of leaving, savor one final breakfast at the lodge, soaking in the symphony of the rainforest—a chorus of birds, the whisper of leaves, and the distant chatter of chimpanzees bidding you their own goodbye.

As the mist lingers over Gombe’s emerald canopy, it’s time to begin your journey back to the world beyond. Departing this untouched Eden, embark on a scenic transfer from Gombe Stream National Park to Kigoma Airport, where your flight awaits—either carrying you to the sun-kissed shores of Zanzibar for well-earned relaxation or onward to new adventures.
